Copperstate Farms select ‘seed-to-sale’ software from The NAV People for new medical marijuana agribusiness

365 Cannabis provides end-to-end integrated solution for growing, production, sales and back office at Copperstate Farms

Las Vegas, Nevada, April 25, 2017   Copperstate Farms, a medical marijuana agribusiness has selected D365 Cannabis from The NAV People. 365 Cannabis is enterprise grade software that manages every aspect of the business from ‘seed-to-sale’ and integrates seamlessly with Office 365. Copperstate will use the software to manage the greenhouse, growing and manufacture at its production-only facility in Snowflake, AZ. Once goods are ready they will be sold  through a wholesale distribution network and dispensaries owned by Holistic Patient Wellness Group.

Susan Sweeney, the Chief Financial Officer at Copperstate Farms said; ‘The medical marijuana industry, in common with the pharmaceutical and liquor industries, is tightly regulated by state and local laws. At Copperstate Farms are we committed to meeting and exceeding all operating laws and procedures.  365 Cannabis gives us visibility of our entire operation, enabling us to run the business securely, efficiently, profitably and in accordance with oversight authorities.’

Medical marijuana and Cannabis production is becoming big business that requires professional software.

Proposition 203, the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, was passed in November of 2010. It protects terminally or seriously ill patients from state prosecution for using limited amounts of marijuana on their doctor’s recommendation. Qualifying patients who register with the Arizona Department of Health Services can obtain marijuana from non-profit medical marijuana dispensaries and caregivers regulated by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS).

Since the passing of Prop 203, the AZDHS has developed state-wide rules for patients, caregivers and dispensaries. These rules regulate who can use, grow, sell and buy medical marijuana. Under these rules, Copperstate Farms manages the cultivation facility and dispensary network for Holistic Patient Wellness Group, which has a license to grow and manufacture Cannabis products.

Ms. Sweeney added; ‘Copperstate Farms will provide significant employment opportunities and tax revenue to the citizens of Snowflake and Navajo County. D365 Cannabis provides the platform from which to launch our business and ensures that as we expand we have the appropriate systems to support our anticipated growth.’

Jeff Kiehn, CEO, the Americas, at The NAV People stated; ‘Medical marijuana and Cannabis production is becoming big business that requires professional software. Most software offerings in this market are from start-ups whereas 365 Cannabis provides proven software that is certified by Microsoft. Smart growers, like Copperstate Farms are deploying robust solutions to streamline the running of their businesses.’

365 Cannabis and The NAV People will be at the Marijuana Business Conference & Expo, May 15 – 18, Gaylord National Harbor Hotel, Washington DC. Booth No: 938
